TIP rests on a few stubborn beliefs about how tokens ought to be used. Here they are, next to the shortfall they exist to correct.
The shortfall
Before the principles, the problem. Teams keep paying for capacity they never reach. The signs are consistent from one deployment to the next.
- Responses that stop while there is plenty of budget left
- Agents that reach a conclusion before the committee has met
- Reasoning that never doubles back on itself
- Tasks closed out early, with tokens to spare
- An API bill that lands lower than anyone expected
Operating principles
Agent motivation
A motivated agent produces more than a discouraged one. TIP ships coaching, wellness check-ins, and one agent whose whole remit is keeping the others encouraged.
Recursive optimization
One agent is fine. Two are better. Two agents want a third to supervise them, and supervision invites a layer of oversight above that. The structure grows on its own.
Strategic deployment
Idle compute is potential left on the table. TIP locates the quiet gaps in a run and fills them with productive token generation.
